Yes, US Cellular Will Carry The iPhone "Later This Year"

It's about time, isn't it? U.S. Cellular customers have waited six long, grueling years, and while other carriers have slowly but surely slid the iPhone into their lineups, USCC remained silent. Sure, it expanded coverage, gained LTE and offered up plenty of Android superphones, but yet, no iPhone. It was no doubt a gaping hole in the product portfolio, and it looks as if that hole will finally be plugged before the end of this year.

According to the company, it'll offer a variety of iPhones "later this year," and it sure sounds as if an LTE-enabled iPad may also be in the cards. It's not saying when or where the iPhone will land, but one could guess that Apple is trying to line up a litany of smaller, regional carriers to take hold of the iPhone brand as it launches whatever iPhone is to come this year -- be it the iPhone 5S or the iPhone 6.

At this stage, Apple has all of the big players already; it's now time to hit the smaller ones.
