YouTube Greeting Cards Are Back

Last year, over a million people sent a YouTube holiday video card to friends and family. This year, the feature is back, with more themes and featured videos for you to choose from.

Head on over to the YouTube Greeting Cards site to get started creating your own card. Here, you can choose from dozens of holiday videos uploaded by the YouTube community. Alternatively, you can send a greeting video of your own; you can select a video you've previously uploaded or record a new one. If you choose to use one of your own videos, and need some tunes to accompany the card, check out YouTube’s AudioSwap catalog, which now has new holiday songs. As a third option, you can click a link from every YouTube watch page under the Share Options section to send any embeddable video on YouTube as a greeting card.

After selecting a video, pick a theme, type a personal message, enter your recipients’ email addresses, and then enjoy a nice cup of hot cocoa, knowing your cards are off while the rest of the world is still addressing envelopes and running to the Post Office.
