Zotac's Feature Packed ZBOX nano VD01 Mini PC Fits in Your Hand

Zotac is quickly earning its black belt in pint-sized PCs that pack a performance punch. The master of mini PCs just added a new series to its lineup, the ZBOX nano VD01 Series, which are small enough to rest in the palm of your hand yet loaded with HTPC-friendly features.

The ZBOX nano VD01 is built around VIA's Nano X2 dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It sits nestled in VIA's VX900H chipset with Chrome9 graphics and ChromotionHD technology. Other specs at a glance include:
  • 1 x DDR3-1066 SODIMM slot
  • SATA 3Gbps port
  • 2 x SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports; 2 x USB 2.0 ports
  • HDMI and DisplayPort
  • GbE LAN; 802.11n Wi-Fi

  • Bundled MCE-compatible remote

The Plus model ships with 2GB of DDR3 memory and a 320GB hard drive pre-installed. Either way, the VD01 supports graphical goodies like Blu-ray playback, MPEG2, H.264, VC-1, and streaming video. Not a bad little nettop.
