AVA Direct Custom GT3 SFF Gaming System Review

The GT3 case is a surprisingly small enclosure considering it doesn't require small form factor parts (e.g. microATX, Mini-ITX, and so on). It fits a full-sized ATX motherboard, full sized memory modules, and a dual slot graphics card.

To flaunt its portability, the case actually comes with a fold-out handle on top. You can heave this thing around like a six-pack of beer.

The front of the case features a fan outlet, an enclosed I/O area with four USB 2.0 ports and front audio minijacks, and the LED-lit power and reset buttons. You'll also note its only SFF part: a slim optical drive.

The case is nicely textured with a carbon-fiber like pattern, but it's smooth, polished paint job is a magnet for fingerprints and smudges.

On the rear, you'll see the few I/O expansion gates, most of which are occupied by the graphics card. It's clear from a glance that the PCI Express X16 slot is on a riser, as the card is parallel to the motherboard. Meanwhile, all of the ASUS P6T's external I/O ports are poised and ready, including a generous six USB 2.0 ports. You'll also notice that the GT3 uses onboard audio (a hindrance for gamers who also happen to be audiophiles), as the expansion area lacks audio connectors.
