CrystalDiskMark is a synthetic benchmark that tests both sequential and random small and mid-sized file transfers using incompressible data. It provides a quick look at best and worst case scenarios with regard to SSD performance, best case being larger sequential transfers and worse case being small, random transfers.

The 5100 series drives perform very favorably in CrystalDiskMark. The only real concern stems from some laggard read speeds in the 512K and 4K QD32 transfer tests. 4K transfers were already shown to be a slightly weak point in the ATTO benchmark so this is not too surprising, but we would have expected them to be able to handle a queue depth of 32 a bit better for datacenter applications.
