Exploits in online games don't have to be security-related to be serious. Online games are commercial products; even if they're "free to play", someone's paying for the experience, and an in-game exploit that grants one player or group of players an unfair advantage can be devastating to the experience, even if it's not a player-versus-player (PvP) game. Bungie's Destiny 2, however, is a PvP game, and an exploit in that game has been allowing players to spam their character's super power non-stop. That's frustrating enough, but recently it was revealed (by JB3 on YouTube) that the exploit can be used to break "most everything with a timer", which means it can be used, among other ways, to gain... We now have confirmation that the much-loved campaign will be entering into the DCV. The Destiny 2 Forsaken campaign and other destinations and activities will no longer be available starting February 22nd, 2022. Destiny 2 fans are excited that the first Grandmaster Nightfall of the Season of the Lost will be available today. However, Grandmaster Nightfalls cannot be accessed by all players as Guardians need a minimum power level of 1345 to be able to enter it. This is what you need to know about increasing your Power Level in Destiny 2. These tips are helpful whether you are preparing for a Grandmaster Nightfall, are a newer player, or simply want to level up your characters. Many hints about the storyline of Destiny 2 are dropped in its lore or in other subtle ways throughout the game. The recent reappearance of one particular weapon has Guardians shaking in their boots. It was recently confirmed that Spoiler Alert is a sign that a character will soon die in Destiny 2.**Warning: Major Spoilers Ahead** Spoiler Alert is a Legendary Kinetic Sidearm and its description reads “Someone is going to die.” The description alone is not terribly concerning since you kill a lot of enemies as a Guardian. However, the history of this weapon is what makes its appearance unnerving. Spoiler Alert was originally released alongside the Destiny 2: Warmind DLC in May 2018.... Read more...
Nothing can kill a good time while playing video games more quickly than bugs that prevent you from completing quests or activities. No game is perfect, but some bugs are more frustrating than others. The latest Destiny 2 reset brought with it a variety of bugs that have been hampering seasonal quest, challenge, and exotic catalyst completions. The first major bug is related to the Wayfinder's Voyage V. Wayfinder’s Voyage V requires Guardians to use the Wayfinder's Compass and kill Taken with a bow. However, many players realized that the quest only progressed once they had killed Scorn with a bow. This is fairly easily fixed by the player, but is still a bit annoying. Second, many Guardians... If it is broken, the Destiny 2 community will find it and likely exploit it. This is especially true at the beginning of a new season when there are new weapons and armor along with buffs and nerfs to existing gear. Two Destiny 2 Exotic armor pieces have recently been disabled in some game activities. The first exotic are the Hunter Radiant Dance Machines boots. This exotic is new to Season 15 and is one that can be obtained as a random drop by completing Legend and Master Lost Sectors. The perk on these boots is as follows: “Dodging near enemies allows you to dodge additional times for a brief period.” Hunter Radiant Dance Machines boots allowed Guardians to dodge an obnoxious number... While the overall epilogue storyline is hardly a surprise, many believe they have spotted an important hint about the future of the game. There they will hear a message by Lakshmi-2. Lakshmi continues to believe that the Eliksni are a threat and decides to open a Vex portal to banish the House of Light. Bungie has hinted they will be revealing some major news about Destiny 2 at their upcoming August showcase. However, Destiny 2 Assistant Game Director Joe Blackburn has offered players some information about what they can expect over the next few seasons. There will soon be new Destiny 2 Crucible maps, modes, and quality of life changes. Bungie will be unveiling two “vaulted” Crucible maps during Season 16. There will then be an entirely brand new map in Season 17 and a remastered map from the original Destiny in Season 18. Blackburn argued that it is no simple matter to create new maps or port old ones. He commented, “When we upgraded our engine with Beyond Light it means we... Read more...
There is one month left of Destiny 2’s Season of the Splicer and Bungie has begun to offer a glimpse into what players can expect for the next season. One of the biggest changes coming to Destiny 2’s Season 15 is cross play. Guardians across Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and Stadia will finally be able to play with one another. Players have been traditionally identified in Destiny 2 by their gamer tags which are created through one’s chosen platform. For example, PC players create their gamer tag, and therefore their name in Destiny, through Steam. However, this will not be possible once cross play is enabled. This is because cross save will also be enabled and Bungie does not want... Read more...
There is approximately one month left of Destiny 2’s Season of the Splicer. While there is plenty of content and activities left in the season, many players have begun to wonder what the next season will bring. A few leaks have appeared here and there on the Internet that may hint at Season 15's content. Dataminers have recently discovered a piece of Exotic Armor that may appear in Destiny 2’s Season 15. Well-known dataminer “Ginsor” tweeted the simple phrase “Thermobaric Greaves.” According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, “thermobaric” means “containing a charge of fuel designed to ignite and combine with oxygen present in the atmosphere... Destiny 2 players are likely familiar with the game’s annual events. Events such as the Dawning, Guardian Games, and Solstice of Heroes offer new challenges and loot each year. The purpose of these events is to engage the player base. However, many players are indifferent or burnt out on these repetitive events. This was especially evident in the Destiny 2 community’s lack of interest in completing the Dawning quests. What can Bungie do to engage players? Here is what we think are the current issues with Destiny 2 annual events and how we think they could be improved. The Solstice of Heroes offers a prime example.  Destiny 2 Loot And Activities Need To Be Worth The Grind What... Read more...

Are you a fan of Destiny lore? Do you love storytelling? Then we have a job for you! Bungie is currently hiring a “Destiny Historian” to help catalog and maintain their ever-growing Destiny universe narrative. The responsibilities of the Destiny Historian are quite extensive. One of the main responsibilities of the Historian is to review scripts and work with writers and others to maintain narrative consistency. This is no small task given the size of the Destiny universe. The Historian will also be expected to produce content for internal developers and external vendors, work “with production to manage schedules,” aid marketing, “establish style guides and specs... Earlier this week, Microsoft made the surprise announcement to make available an Xbox Series X-styled mini-fridge. Not only does the fridge look amazing, but it can hold ten 12-ounce cans, which should be enough to fuel you with caffeine during long gaming sessions. Now, Bungie is looking to get in on the action with a crazy, gaming-oriented appliance. Feast your eyes on the Destiny toaster, which is the product of a Bungie challenge to its Destiny fanbase. During last year's Gaming Community Expo Livestream, Bungie implored gamers to donate $777,777.77 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. If the fans surpassed that mark, it would agree to offer an "Official" Destiny toaster. Well, over... Read more...

It was revealed this past week that Quria, the Dreaming Mind, is the one responsible for creating the Endless Night that is plaguing the Last City. However, there was another major plot twist that we believe deserves some consideration. Here is our theory about the upcoming plot of Destiny 2’s Season of Splicer. **WARNING: Major Spoilers Ahead** Quira is a commander under Savathûn, the Witch-Queen. The Endless Night is therefore part of Savathûn’s schemes. A lore entry also divulged that Savathûn is disguised as a human being and is present somewhere in... Read more...
