It has been known for quite some time that Destiny 2 developers Bungie have several games in the works. Unfortunately, we know very little about any of its upcoming games. A recent job listing may shed a little light on what Bungie is working on behind the scenes. Bungie published a job posting for someone to work on a new multiplayer action game. The position is for a “Contract Incubation Sandbox Designer” who would be responsible for helping to design a combat system in an IP (intellectual property) that is still in “incubation.” The job posting drops a few additional fuzzy hints about the game. The new game will be multiplayer and “character-focused.” The... Read more...
The latest Destiny 2 reset has brought with it the new weekly mission. Unfortunately it is not always obvious how one should kick off a new mission or quest. Here is what you need to know to start Destiny 2’s Expunge: Labyrinth. Steps To Begin Expunge: Labyrinth First, you will need to go to the H.E.L.M. and visit the Splicer Servitor in the new Eliksni Wing. The H.E.L.M can now be accessed directly from the Destination Director. Second, you will speak to Mithrax and complete Path of the Splicer III. The completion of this quest is very similar to the completion of Path of the Splicer I and II. You will need to: Charge the Splicer Gauntlet with Ether. Ether can be collected by killing enemies,... Everything old is new again. The Destiny 2 Vault of Glass (VOG) raid officially launches on Saturday, May 22nd. Here is everything you need to know to prep for the Vault of Glass raid. What We Know About the Vault of Glass Raid Vault of Glass (VOG) was the first raid that was available in Destiny. Bungie has noted that it did not want to “evolve this raid into something completely new” and it should have a familiar feel to the original raid. Nevertheless, they have also stated that VOG will not be exactly the same as it was before. Destiny veterans may therefore have a bit of an edge over newer players, but they should expect some changes. For example, we anticipate that there will... Read more...
Everyone loves a good video game hack, and Destiny 2 certainly has its fair share of them. One recent video clip demonstrated the potential of the new Destiny 2 Exotic Sidearm Cryosthesia 77K. This hack allowed the player to “freeze someone five different ways.” Cryosthesia 77K is an Exotic Kinetic Sidearm that recently became available through Season of the Splicer. It is the first award available to Season Pass owners and is available for free-to-play players at Rank 35. It is the second Stasis weapon to be introduced in the game since the launch of the Beyond Light expansion. Its perks are as follows: Liquid Cooling: Final blows with this weapon enable a Charged Shot for a... Read more...

Here is everything we know so far about Destiny 2’s Season of the Splicer. The Season of the Splicer will be focused on the Vex and combating their attempt to take over the Last City. The Destiny 2 2021 Guardian Games have arrived. No Destiny 2 event would truly be complete without a few legendary and exotic items for Guardians to chase after or purchase. Here is how you can acquire the exotic machine gun Heir Apparent and its Catalyst. What Is Heir Apparent And Its Catalyst Heir Apparent is an exotic machine gun with two main perks. Heavy Slug Thrower requires players to spin up the weapon by clicking down on the aim button. Once fired up, the machine gun will shower your enemies with bullets. The second perk is Armor of the Colossus. It grants the user an arc shield if the weapon was spun up while the Guardian was at full health. The Catalyst of course allows the weapon... Read more...
Light the torches! It is time to find out whether Titans will once again reign supreme or if Hunters or Warlocks will rise to the challenge. Here is everything you need to know about the Destiny 2 2021 Guardian Games. What Are The Guardian Games? The Guardian Games is a free event that is available to all players, regardless of whether they own the season pass. It is essentially the Destiny 2 version of the Olympics. The event was first held in 2020 and was popular enough that it was brought back again this year. The Guardian Games will begin today, April 20th, and will last until May 11th. There will be a “closing ceremony” on May 7th which will announce the victor. Like last year,... Read more...
Game developer Bungie has set up the popular game Destiny 2 to be in it for the long haul, with new DLC and crossplay compatibility. However, the company has some new properties on the horizon, and we got a snippet of that with Bungie’s trademark of a game called “Matter” in 2018. Since then, we have not heard any other news about what is in store from the developer until now. In an interview with Japanese publication 4Gamer, Bungie Design Director Jacob Benton spoke about what the future holds for Destiny 2 and how the company plans to support the game for many more years. When asked about the possibility of Destiny 3, Benton simply elaborated on the plans for Destiny 2 and... Read more...
Destiny 2 raids can be an absolute blast to play with five of your friends. But what is better than taking down Taniks, the Abomination with six players? Taking down Taniks, the Abomination with 12 players! Destiny 2 players are currently loving a 12-player raid glitch and asking Bungie to make it a permanent feature. Raids typically allow for up to 6 players. However, the current glitch permits players to effectively merge two fireteams into one mega-team of 12 players. This can be done if one fireteam joins the other when the launch timer begins its countdown. Both teams can then join the same raid and wreak havoc.  Bungie is aware of the glitch and one Bungie Senior Community Manager... Read more...
Unfortunately, we have some bad news to present today for diehard fans of Destiny 2. Bungie just announced this afternoon that its next big expansion -- The Witch Queen – will be delayed until 2022. Although Destiny expansions usually launch during October, the first cracks in the armor appeared last year with the release of Beyond Light, which bowed in November. We'll give you just one guess for The Witch Queen's delay, and we're sure that everyone will get the correct answer. "With COVID-19 keeping us away from the office, and the large amount of work on our plates, we needed to move the date in order to make sure that both this year's updates and The Witch Queen were both... Here is everything you need to know about Dead Man’s Tale and the Presage Mission. **Warning: Major Spoilers Ahead** What is Dead Man’s Tale? Dead Man’s Tale is an Exotic Scout Rifle. Its exotic perk is “Cranial Spike” with which “chaining precision hits grant bonus damage and quickens reload speed.” This perk makes the weapon more useful against bosses and powerful enemies, and is fun to use once you get on a precision hit roll. There is also a slot for a catalyst, but that... Read more...
It looks like, “whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal…” Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen has arrived and it has already made a bigger splash than the previous season. Here is what you need to know about the Season of the Chosen.  Defeat Cabal War Lords on Battlegrounds The storyline for Season of the Chosen is so far focused on Empress Caiatl, the new leader of the Cabal and daughter of Emperor Calus. Caiatl offered an alliance to Commander Zavala and a position on her growing war council to defeat the darkness of the Pyramids and forces of Xivu Arath. Zavala, with the encouragement of Osiris, declined Caital’s offer. Guardians... Read more...
Today officially marks the last week of Destiny 2’s Season of the Hunt. Bungie has so far released little information about the upcoming season, but the internet naturally has a different plan. It was recently leaked that the next Destiny 2 season will be dubbed the “Season of the Chosen” and will be focused on the Cabal. The leak comes from a now-deleted tweet from Game Informer. The tweet featured Commander Zavala standing on what appears to be Nessus. Caiatl, the daughter of former Cabal Emperor Calus, looms over Zavala. A mysterious ship appears to have crashed nearby Zavala. This leak matches many of the hints that have been dropped by Bungie over the last few months. A... Read more...

The new Harbinger mission now finally provides players the opportunity to earn the catalyst and farm for Hawkmoon. Destiny 2: Beyond Light has been almost solely focused on the newest location of Europa. The Season of the Hunt has taken Guardians to the Tangled Shores and Dreaming City, but most activities on older locations have been neglected by players. Additionally, much of the gear that was issued in previous seasons will sunset in upcoming seasons. This system has therefore not provided Guardians with much incentive to engage with older content. Destiny 2 developers Bungie are thankfully making a few changes to make outdated gear and activities relevant again. Destiny 2 will soon reissue the Dreaming City's Reverie Dawn armor, Moon’s Dreambane armor, and a total of eight weapons. Season 13 will... Read more...
It is the holiday season which means that seasonal video game events abound. Destiny 2 is no exception and players have been grinding through the Dawning 2020 event. Unfortunately, progress for this event has been quite slow. Destiny 2 developer Bungie has therefore tripled Dawning Spirit rewards for the community “Share the Dawning Spirit” quest. The Dawning 2020 event is similar to previous Destiny 2 holiday events. Players must use Eva Levante’s oven to bake cookies for NPCs. There are two Dawning quest lines this year-- “Share the Dawning Spirit” and “And To All a Good Flight.” “And To All a Good Flight” is an individual quest which rewards... Read more...
Destiny 2’s Beyond Light expansion introduced something entirely new to the game -- a darkness subclass dubbed Stasis. Stasis is particularly different from the Light-based subclasses in that it can be customized through Fragments and Aspects. Beyond Light has introduced a handful of Aspects and Fragments, but Bungie has confirmed that they plan to add even more.  Luke Smith from Bungie recently stated in an interview that “Our intention is to add more.” He further noted that several Aspects and Fragments will be released over the next year. Players thankfully do not need to wait until the Witch Queen expansion to get their hands on these Aspects and Fragments. Smith further... Read more...
In case you don't already pick up on it, we're pretty big fans of Bungie's Destiny 2, and have posted a number of guides over the past few weeks specifically relating to Beyond Light. Today, however, Bungie has released its latest patch for the game -- labeled as Hotfix 3.0.1.2 -- that addresses a number of outstanding issues with the game. The hotfix also makes some adjustments to in-game weapons to help with gameplay balance. With respect to the Cryptolith Lure, players now have the ability to charge it twice as fast as before, which is critical to initiating a Wrathborn Hunt. In addition, it is now capable of storing five charges, which is an increase from the previous maximum capacity... Read more...
Destiny 2 is a game that is meant to be enjoyed with your friends online. However, that can be challenging when you are locked to a single platform, but that may be changing soon. In a blog post, Bungie, the developers of Destiny 2, affirmed that the popular game would be getting cross-play support sometime in 2021. Bungie has made moving from platform to platform easy with cross saves. The cross-save functionality allows anyone to save their characters, gear, and stats and simply login on another platform to download it and continue playing. What’s more is that players now have access to cross-generational play, so friends on older consoles can play with those who got their hands on an... Read more...
