After years of waiting, users on ARM64 versions of Windows 10 and 11 finally have their own version of CPUID's popular application CPU-Z. The new ARM64-based version will enable anyone using an ARM-based Windows machine to view detailed specifications of their CPU, including clock speeds, cache allotments, CPU model... Read more...
The latest update to CPU-Z, a free and popular system profiling and monitoring utility, adds support for several different CPU and GPU platforms, such as the recently introduced GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and AMD's mobile processors codenamed Dragon Range. What really stands out, however, is preliminary support for a new... Read more...
Evidence of a number of CPU-Z benchmark runs using a system based upon an Intel Core i7-13700K engineering sample (ES) have turned up on-line. Images and videos recording a PC’s screen appear to show an overclocked Raptor Lake, or 13th gen Intel Core processor, being pushed to 6GHz on all performance cores (P-cores)... Read more...
Will Alder Lake really be all that and a bag of silicon chips? That's what many benchmark leaks have suggested. If you want to add yet another one to the growing pile, a screenshot of a CPU-Z benchmark run highlights some impressively strong single-threaded performance obtained from a Core i7-12700K, and decent... Zen 3 is a force to be reckoned with, assuming the various benchmark leaks are even remotely accurate. Not that we are surprised—Zen 2 is one heck of a CPU architecture, so it stands to reason that Zen 3 will be as well. How much better is the question, and some newly leaked scores for a Ryzen 9 5950X may help answer... Read more...
Evidence pointing towards a Ryzen 5 3500X addition to AMD's third-generation Ryzen lineup is stacking up. The latest clue is a validated CPU-Z entry. Submitted by an anonymous user, the Ryzen 5 3500X listing on CPU-Z seemingly provides a glimpse of how the upcoming processor will fare compared to Intel's 9th... Read more...
The first time AMD's FX-8150 processor found itself in the Guinness World Records, it took a team of AMD sponsored overclockers (and a whole lot of liquid helium) working together to push the processor to 8429.38MHz. And this time? Andre Yang, working by himself, used the same model chip to break the record set in September and set a new one,... Read more...
Hardcore PC enthusiasts who try to squeeze every possible MHz out of their systems by overclocking and swapping out core system components need to have access to tools that deliver precise information about those components--especially the respective speeds those components are running at. Two such tools that have long-assisted overclockers... Read more...
