The thing about striving for perfection is that it is not truly attainable, and you can drive yourself mad trying to get there. Be that as it may, Dell has come closer than most with its premium line of XPS 13 laptops, which in our experience are some of the finest thin and light notebooks available, both in terms of their beautiful design, as well as all-around performance. The same is certainly true of Dell's latest refresh for 2019, which attempts to refine Dell's award winning 13-inch laptop platform even further. Looking back at the 2018 model, which we bestowed a well-earned Editor's Choice award, Dell did not leave itself a whole lot of room for improvement. It was stunning then and it... Read more...
We're suckers for awesome gaming displays, and Dell has an incredibly impressive Alienware 55 OLED Monitor at CES 2019 that measures 55 inches diagonally. That's a lot of screen real estate for a gaming display, and luckily it has the specs and expected performance to make it one of the best new products that we've seen so far at the show. As its name implies, the Alienware 55 OLED Monitor ditches "old school" LCD technology and instead uses a 4K OLED HDR panel with a variable refresh rate up to a relatively lofty 120Hz. From the front, the display features a clean and minimalistic design that could easily be shared with any number of large-screen TVs on the market. However,... Read more...

The same is true in the land of laptops, and Dell in particular has been relentless in pushing forward its thin and light XPS 13. We had a chance to spend some hands-on time with one in the run up to the Consumer Electronics Show, where Dell has now unveiled its 2019 model (or more precisely, the XPS 13 9380). Dell is billing its latest model as "the most powerful 13-inch in its class," and thanks to an infusion of Intel's Whiskey Lake architecture, the XPS 13 has so far lived up to the claim in... Dell is expected to have a big presence at this year's CES being held in Las Vegas next week, but the company is pre-announcing one product before the big show. We present the Latitude 7400 2-in-1, which is the company's latest business notebook built around a 14-inch display. The display has narrow bezels all around along with a Full HD (1920x1080) resolution. The display is covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and features anti-reflective and anti-smudge coatings. But what's most interesting is what's actually incorporated into the top bezel of the Latitude 7400 2-in-1, and that is a proximity sensor. Dell calls it ExpressSign-in, and it wakes the system within one second when it detects your... Read more...
