Anthem Joins Origin And EA Access Following Botched Launch And Gamer Apathy

Electronic Arts had gamer hopes high when it first announced the Anthem. Those hopes were smashed for many players when the launch of the high-profile game was botched, leaving the game broken and gamers unhappy with what was delivered. Anthem is now moving into The Vault, meaning it is playable in its basic version for those with subscriptions to EA Access or Origin Access Basic.

Anthem Standard Edition can be played as much as the players want, as long as the subscription is maintained. Players will get access to the Ranger, Interceptor, Colossus, and Storm javelins. EA is also giving some tips to new players of the game, suggesting that players will want to check out the quick start guide for information on the world, controls, and other helpful tips.

EA has a "Tips and Tricks" tutorial that gives new players information on gameplay, javelin customization, combat, and more. Players who are EA Access or Origin Access subscribers will get access to the time-limited Cataclysm event. Cataclysm is the event that EA announced was delayed in April of this year while it worked on squashing bugs that shipped with the game.

Cataclysm is open to all, even new players. There is no rank requirement to play; anyone can jump into a javelin and fight through the arenas to earn points and rewards. EA has all the tips and tutorials on Cataclysm linked here

Gamers who have Origin Access Premier can play Anthem: Legion of Dawn Edition. Anthem is offered on Standard Edition and Legion of Dawn Edition for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It's worth noting that the EA tweet announcing the game was in The Vault is littered with people who say that while the game said free, the store tried to charge them for the game.
