Apple Failed With The AirPower Wireless Charger, Now It's Selling A Mophie Knock-Off

Apple might not have its own multi-device wireless charging solution in place, but it is partnering with Mohpie to make Qi wireless charging mats widely available to customers. The company announced that two of Mophie's latest wireless chargers will be available: one that can charge two devices at once, and one that can charge three at a time.

The first device is the Dual Wireless Charging Pad, which can deliver 7.5 watts wirelessly to an iPhone or AirPods (or any combination of the two). There's also a USB-A port embedded on the back of the device that allows you to charge an additional device [wired] like another iPhone or an Apple Watch.

The second device is the 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad. This device looks a lot like the dual charger, but has an integrated stand that can wirelessly charge an Apple Watch. Unfortunately, the 3-in-1 charger doesn't have the USB-A port on the back for charging an additional device.

Apple is selling the Mophie Dual Wireless Charging Pad for $99.95. Interestingly, you can get the same device direct from Mophie for $79.95, and you can throw in an extra 15 percent off if you sign up for the company's newsletter. The 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad is being sold by Apple for $139.95. Apple is selling both devices online and at its brick and mortar store.
