AT&T announced that its GoPhone plans will now offer 4G LTE capabilities, which is a welcome and tasty performance upgrade for those who have opted for the pay-as-you-go phone service. Subscribers can bring their own handset to use with the plan or buy one of AT&T’s fourteen GoPhone devices, which range from the $14.99 Alcatel 510A to the HTC First, which costs $449.99.

The new GoPhone plans with 4G LTE include:

$60 a month for 2 GB of data, unlimited nationwide calling, and unlimited messaging — now double the data at a lower monthly price. Additional data is available for $10 per 1 GB.

$40 a month for 200 MB of data, 500 minutes of nationwide calling, and unlimited messaging. Additional data is available for $5 per 100 MB.

$25 a month for 250 minutes of nationwide calling and unlimited messaging, with an optional data package of 50 MB for an additional $5 a month.

All GoPhone monthly plans include international texts from the U.S. to Mexico, Canada and 100 other countries.

There’s also a new GoPhone handset, the Samsung Galaxy Express, which offers a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.5-inch AMOLED display, Android Jelly Bean, 5MP rear- and 1.3MP front-facing cameras, 1 GB of RAM, and 8GB of onboard storage. It also has 4G LTE capabilities and sports Samsung’s S Beam technology.

The Samsung Galaxy Express will cost $249.99 and, like the revised 4G LTE GoPhone plans, will be available starting June 21st.
