Card.io Snaps A Photograph Of Your Credit Card, Makes Mobile Payments Easier

One of the biggest services hitting the market this year, at least on the mobile front, is mobile payments. Put simply, they're everywhere, and they're spread fast. The North American market has been slow to move towards this technology, but now that NFC, Google Wallet, and Square are making waves, it seems like every company in the world is trying their hand at something similar.

The newly announced Card.io SDK adds yet another new player to the mix, but it's a market that could stand the competition. Basically, this makes accepting credit cards via your iPhone even easier, as it taps into the camera to just photograph and process the card. A demo video below does a great job of showcasing what's possible here, and we're hopefully that it will come to Android, BlackBerry and the rest of the works soon.
