EVGA’s X79 Motherboard Lineup Unveiled

“Moar X79 motherboards pleez!”, you’re undoubtedly shouting. Well, good news: EVGA announced its slew of X79-based boards in the X79 Classified, X79 FTW, and X79 SLI.

All of the boards support the new socket 2011 Intel chips and feature four DIMM slots; 10 USB 2.0 ports and 10 USB 3.0 ports (4 USB 3.0 on the X79 SLI); and a pair each of SATA 6Gbps, 3Gbps, and E-SATA ports.

The boards also support at least 3-way SLI, and the X79 Classified can handle 4-way SLI at x8. The X79 SLI has three PCI-E x8x16 slots while the other two have five each.

In terms of power, the larger two boards of the three, the X79 Classified and X79 FTW, feature 12+2 CPU PWM and dual 8-pin CPU connectors.
