Freshly Leaked Galaxy S9 And S9 Plus Images Show Samsung's Flyin' Purple iPhone Eater
Evan Blass has posted images showing the two smartphones in Lilac Purple from nearly every angle (save for the top and bottom), giving us a good look at the Infinity Display and the rear cameras. As has been previously reported, the Galaxy S9 gets a single 12MP camera, while the Galaxy S9+ receives dual 12MP cameras. The primary camera on both smartphones features a variable aperture mechanism that can adjust from f/1.5 to f/2.4.
Other prominent features on display include the rear fingerprint sensor (which has been repositioned from its awkward placement beside the camera lens on the Galaxy S8/Galaxy S8+ to below the cameras). The LED flash is also visible to the right of the camera/fingerprint sensor area.
In other Galaxy S9/Galaxy S9+ news, an image made its way to Twitter that shows a gaggle of official cases for the smartphones. There's nothing too surprising to report on this front other than that there appears to be both polycarbonate and fabric-covered options available.
For the U.S. and Chinese markets, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The rest of the world will receive the devices with Samsung's own Exynos 9810 processor. The 5.8-inch Galaxy S9 is considered the entry-level flagship and as such will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The larger Galaxy S9+ with its 6.2-inch display gets 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. On the battery front, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 will be loaded with 3,000 mAh and 3,500 mAh batteries respectively.
