Fujitsu to Showcase Industry Leading Hard Disk Drive Technology at Storage Networking World Spring 2006

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world's leading suppliers of innovative computer products including hard disk drives, peripherals and biometric security solutions, today announced that it will showcase its leading 2.5" Serial ATA (SATA) and small form factor (SFF) Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard disk drives inside market-ready storage systems at Storage Networking World, April 3-6, 2006, in San Diego, Calif.

Given the constant change in system requirements, the need for flexibility and scalability is essential. At the event, Fujitsu will display a variety of 2.5" SAS solutions, including a 24-bay SAS configuration within an AIC enclosure that demonstrates the outstanding performance of Serial technology, plus a SAS tower with sixteen hard disk drives that achieves a data throughput rate of 1.7GB. The combination of exceptional reliability, low power consumption and acoustics, all in a small footprint, makes these ideal compact storage solutions for mission critical data. Additionally, Fujitsu will showcase an external enclosure solution comprised of fifty Fujitsu 2.5" SATA hard disk drives utilizing nearly 4TB of storage, as well as a co-demonstration with Emulex featuring a Fibre Channel-SATA tiered enclosure.
