Samsung Galaxy S10 And Folding Galaxy X Smartphone Launch Dates Leaked

The rumor mill is at full tilt when it comes to the Galaxy S10 and the foldable Galaxy X smartphones that are in the works by Samsung. Way back in February, a leak claimed the Galaxy S10 would rock a Snapdragon 855 SoC and pack a 2Gbps X24 modem. A few days ago, a rumor tipped that Samsung had issued the S10 the codename "Beyond". We've also had more than a few leaks that focus on the folding screen Galaxy X smartphone. Most notable was the leaked support page for the device that turned up in late 2017.

Another significant leak has happened, and it gives a bit more alleged information on the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy X. The unveiling for the Galaxy S10 is tipped to happen at CES 2019, which will kick off next January. It's worth noting that rumors have said in the past that Galaxy S smartphones would be unveiled at CES and so far, this has never happened. In fact, the Galaxy X had been tipped to debut at CES 2018 back in January and here we are with no folding smartphone goodness months later.

The Galaxy X is tipped to be launch at MWC 2019. The CES launch of the Galaxy S10 would make sense if Samsung really does plan to launch the Galaxy X at MWC 2019 in February; it wouldn't want its two flagship devices fighting for attention at the same show.

The code name for the Galaxy X is rather smug; it's reportedly called "Winner" according to the report. The device had previously been tipped as "Valley". Samsung is said to kick off part sourcing for that device in November and the launch of the device will be limited. Samsung did reportedly show the folding smartphone to private partners at CES 2018 and it was said to sport a trio of 3.5-inch OLED screens with one on the outside of the device and a pair on the inside. The outside screen lets the user interact with the device without having to unfold it. Combined the two internal screens are somewhere between 6 and 7 inches due to the geometry of the device.
