GeForce RTX 2060 Retail Packaging Leaks Days Prior To CES 2019 Launch

All signs are pointing towards a CES 2019 launch for NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 2060 gaming GPU. We've seen leaked branding, pricing, and performance figures for the GPU, and now we're seeing retail packaging from Colorful for one of its upcoming products.

What we see here is the Colorful iGame GeForce RTX 2060 Ultra OC; that's quite a mouthful for what will essentially the entry-level offering into the GeForce RTX family. Unfortunately, none of the box shot show anything regarding its specs other than to point out that it has GDDR6 memory onboard.

With that being said, previous leaks suggested that the GeForce RTX 2060 will have 1,920 CUDA cores, 30 RT cores, 240 Tensor cores, 120 TMUs and 48 ROPs. In addition, we're expecting a base clock of 1,365MHz and a boost clock of 1,680MHz. It's highly likely, however, that Colorful will be "juicing" those clock speeds slightly to help its offering stand out from what will no doubt be a crowded field of GeForce GTX 2060 cards.

According to a leaked reviewers guide, GeForce RTX 2060 cards will come with 6GB of GDDR6 memory using a 192-bit bus and will offer 6.5 TFLOPs of FP32 compute performance. As for gaming performance, here are alleged performance targets for the GeForce RTX 2060 in Battlefield V running at 1080p:

  • Real-Time Ray Tracing Off: 90 fps
  • Real-Time Ray Tracing On + DLSS Off: 65 fps
  • Real-Time Ray Tracing On + DLSS On: 88 fps

When it comes to cost, it is expected that the GeForce RTX 2060 will be priced at $349, which undercuts reference GeForce RTX 2070 offerings by $150.
