Google Nexus 6 Reportedly Could Start Shipping To Pre-Order Customers Today

Anyone who pre-ordered a Nexus 6 from Google probably feels like a kid on Christmas Eve, only waiting for that magical day when your device will be shipped is even more difficult when you have no idea when it's coming. At least you were one of the lucky ones who managed to get your pre-order in before Google ran out of stock, though if that's not enough consolation, this might cheer you up -- a Google support rep thinks Nexus 6 devices could start shipping as early as today.

The revelation came about in a Reddit thread in which someone who pre-ordered a Nexus 6 smartphone posted a chat transcript with a Google support rep.

Nexus 6

"Thanks for your interesting in learning more about the Nexus 6! It's always great to hear from our customers. As far as I'm aware, the Nexus 6 will not start shipping until around 11/03/14," the rep said. "We will process the orders chronologically. I apologize that I don't have any additional details that I can share with you about when your Nexus 6 will ship; at this time, I am only able to share information on products that are currently listed on Google Play."

It wouldn't surprise us if shipments started today, especially since T-Mobile is slated to carry the device beginning November 12. That would suggest that Nexus 6 devices are currently incoming as T-Mobile prepares for what will likely be a popular launch.

The Nexus 6 is the first handset to sport Android 5.0 Lollipop. It also features a 5.96-inch Quad HD display, 2.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, 13MP rear-facing camera, 2MP-front facing camera, and a few other goodies.
