Google’s Red Hot Pixel And Pixel XL Nougat Flagships Restocked At Google Store

Google did a good designing (and HTC building) its Pixel and Pixel XL handsets. Perhaps too good of a job. That's evidenced by how difficult it has been obtaining one of Google's hot new flagship smartphones based on its equally new Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. The larger Pixel XL has been especially difficult to grab hold of, though as of this writing, both models are in stock from the Google Store. That is, if you're okay with 32GB of onboard storage.

The Pixel and Pixel XL come with two onboard storage options: 32GB and 128GB. Unfortunately, the significantly more capacious 128GB option is listed as "Out of stock" for both phones, while the 32GB models are readily available. There's no word on when the 128GB SKUs will be available, and whether or not they'll shop up in time for Christmas.

As to the color options, the phones come in Very Silver, Quite Black, and Limited Edition: Really Blue. All three seem to be readily available for both phones, though some people have seen certain color options listed as shipping several.

Google's Pixel and Pixel XL are similar devices save for their physical size, display resolution, and battery capacity. The smaller of the two, the Pixel, wields a 5-inch display with a 1920x1080 resolution and 2,770 mAh non-removable battery, whereas the Pixel XL bumps things up to a 5.5-inch screen with a 2560x1440 resolution and 3,450 mAh battery.

Both phones sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 128GB of onboard storage, 8MP (front) and 12MP (rear) cameras, USB Type-C connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2, and fast charging capabilities. Pricing starts at $649 for the Pixel and $769 for the Pixel XL.
