Hang Tight Digital Packrats, 64GB Galaxy S III Coming Soon

In this day and age of instant gratification, it can be tough to sit back and wait, but that's exactly what you have to do if you're holding out for a 64GB Galaxy S III smartphone from Samsung. The good news is that the 64GB model hasn't been cancelled, even though there have been reports of some overseas retailers nixing orders.

"The 64GB model of the Galaxy S III will be available during the second half of this year," Samsung said in a statement. "The market availability and timing may vary and will be determined at the time of release."

As it stands, the Galaxy S III is currently available with either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage for $200 and $250, respectively, with a two-year service agreement. It's unclear how much the 64GB model will run, but when combined with the microSD card slot, data hoarders uninterested in leaving their digital bits in the cloud could potentially store up to 128GB right on their phone.
