HP Envy x360 Convertible With Ryzen 5 2500U APU And Vega Mobile Leaked

One market where Zen hasn't yet been released is in the mobile sector, but that will soon change. A product data sheet that was found on Hewlett-Packard's website tells the tale of an upcoming Envy x360 notebook (15-bq101na). Powering that notebook is AMD's Ryzen 5 2500U processor, which is based on AMD's Raven Ridge platform. The mobile processor has a base frequency of 2GHz and can boost up to 3.6GHz. We can also see that it has 6MB of cache, and this particular model is spec'd out with 8GB of DDR4-2400 memory (up to 16GB is supported).

But that's not all, the APU features a Radeon Vega M GPU, which is a cut-down version of the GPU found in the Radeon RX Vega 56 and Vega 64 graphics cards that were released over the summer for desktop gamers.

The other bit of information that we were able to extract from this leak is that the Envy x360 will be able to run for up to 10 hours per charge.

This isn't the first time that we've spotted the Ryzen 5 2500U APU. It showed up back in late July via a leaked Ashes of the Singularity benchmark. That benchmark confirmed that the processor has four physical cores and can execute 8 threads. Benchmarks for the processor popped up again in mid-September when it was found lurking in the Geekbench database.

Products based on Raven Ridge are expected to launch early next year.
