Intel Announcing Demo Contest Winners in 1 Week
We've just received word from Intel, that on September 5, they will announce the winners of the 2nd annual Intel Game Demo Contest. Nearly $100,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded in two categories: Best Threaded Game and Best Game on the Go.
The winners of this worldwide contest, with submissions from 29 countries, will be announced right here . Additionally, on September 6, the winning games will be showcased at the Intel booth at the Austin Game Developers Conference and simultaneously during a Second Life event at 9:00 a.m. CDT (7:00 a.m. PDT). To view the demos in Second Life, after you are in-world, message user "Dreamy Intel" to get a Game Geek T-shirt for your avatar and meet us at the Intel Software Network Zone.
Prizes will be awarded to the top five finishers in both categories. The top winner in each category will receive the $10,000 grand prize, plus $5,000 worth of custom artwork to further enhance their games. Other cash prizes, as well as hardware and software packages, will be awarded, in addition to bonus prizes offered by Gateway, Garage Games and Intel Tools Group.
