Lenovo Blitzes CES 2016 With ThinkPad 13, T460p, X260, And Yoga 900 Business Edition

While Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 family of announcements was full of sexy looking hardware that is sure to impress both business customers and discerning general consumers. However, Lenovo also has to cater to its more mainstream business customers, and as such, the company has also updated the rest of its more plebian ThinkPad models for 2016.

Kicking things off, we have the ThinkPad T460s, which measures in at 18.8mm thick and weighs just 3 pounds. Up to an Intel Core i7 processor with vPro is supported along with up to 24GB of DDR4 memory. Storage options top out at a 512GB PCIe SSD, while Intel HD Graphics HD520 and NVIDIA GeForce 930M graphics options power a 14-inch 2560x1440 IPS display. You’ll find a whole smorgasbord of ports including three USB 3.0 ports and HDMI along with nice options like LTE-A and a fingerprint reader.

Slightly lower down the rung are the ThinkPad T460 and T560. Both of these business-class notebooks come with sixth generation Intel Core processors, PCIe storage, integrated Intel or NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics, support for up to 32GB of RAM and Dolby Home Theater v3 audio. You’ll also find HDD, SATA SSD and PCIe SSD storage selections on the options sheet.

On the display front, the ThinkPad T460’s 14-inch panel has a resolution of 1920x1080, while the 15-inch ThinkPad T560 has a resolution of 2560x1440. Both screens feature an anti-gear coating and the T460 can be had with an optional touch panel.

The ThinkPad T460s will ship in February with a starting price of $1,059. The ThinkPad T460 and T560 will ship in February with price tags of $909 and $969 respectively.

If you prefer a bit more power, the T460p ditches the U-Series processors in the aforementioned notebooks in favor of H-Series quad-core processors, which offer up to 1.7x the performance. Up to 32GB of DDR4 memory is supported via two DIMM slots and Lenovo promises all-day battery life via the removable 72Whr battery (12 hours). The ThinkPad T460p also ships in February and will be priced from $1,249.

Switching gears slightly, we come to the dual-natured ThinkPad 13. This notebook weighs just 2.3 pounds and comes with up to a sixth generation Intel Core i5 vPro processor. Up to a 512MB SSD can be installed inside the chassis and up to 16GB of DDR4 memory is supported. You’ll also find three full-size USB 3.0 ports, a single USB-C port, and a OneLink+ connector.

The ThinkPad 13 will be available in both Windows 10 and Google Chrome OS versions with the former starting at $449 (April availability) and the latter priced slightly cheaper at $399 (June availability).

Other refreshed laptops include the $929 (February availability) ThinkPad X260 which features Intel Core power, a 12.5-inch FHD display, integrated Intel graphics and up 16GB of DDR4 memory and up to a 512GB PCIe SSD. The ThinkPad L460 and L560 are 14-inch and 15.5-inch versions of the same basic chassis, and are available with Intel Celeron and Core processors. Screen resolution is stuck at 1920x1080 for both machines and you can have a choice of Intel graphics or an AMD Radeon R5 GPU on the L460 and up to Intel HD Graphics 520 on the L560. The ThinkPad L460 and L560 ship in February with starting pries of $749 and $779 respectively.

Lenovo has also introduced “Business Editions” of two of its popular consumer products: the MIIX 700 Business Edition and the Yoga 900 Business Edition. The MIIX 700 Business Edition features Intel Core m7 vPro power, a 12-inch 2160x1440 display, a “dual watchband” hinge design for the adjustable kickstand and comes with a folio keyboard that allows the device to be used as a laptop. It also has a built-in TPM chipset for increased security.

The Yoga 900 Business Edition weighs in at just 2.9 pounds, and brings with it sixth gen Intel Core processors and up to a 512GB SSD and up to 16GB of memory. You’ll also find a 13.3-inch 3200x1800 IPS display and an integrated TPM chipset.

Both the MIIX 700 Business Edition and Yoga 900 Business Edition will ship next month, but Lenovo has not yet announced pricing for either product.
