Microsoft Compiles First Windows 10 Redstone 3 Build For 2H 2017 Release

We might not even have Redstone 2, aka "Creators Update", in our hands at this point in time, but that hasn't stopped Microsoft from getting started on producing its first internal builds for Redstone 3 which is due out later this year.

As we've talked about before, the upcoming Creators Update isn't going to be drastically different than the current stable version of Windows 10 (build 14393), but it is going to add a lot of polish and a couple of cool new features in the form of Game Mode, picture-in-picture windows, dynamic proximity lock, and more. Although Microsoft is hard at work on Redstone 3, final touches will still be put on Redstone 2 leading up to its final launch sometime in the next few weeks.

As the Creators Update is not yet out the door, Microsoft hasn't commented publicly much about Redstone 3. What we do know it will bring is an improved UI built around Project NEON, giving modern apps even more visual flair, while making Windows as a whole more attractive (example above). Also expected is a "Composable Shell", which would allow Windows 10 to adapt its UI better to a variety of devices.
