NVIDIA And AMD Launch Updated Graphics Drivers For Watch Dogs Release

Ubisoft’s “Watch Dogs” has been a hotly anticipated title--a franchise, even--and both AMD and NVIDIA are releasing graphics drivers for the game’s release.

This game is a demanding one, to be sure. NVIDIA says that minimum requirements include an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 (2.66 GHz) or AMD Phenom II X4 940 (3.0 GHz), 6GB of RAM, and GeForce GTX 460 graphics. In order to run the title at “ultra”, you’ll need the one-two punch of an Intel Core i7-4770K (3.5GHz) and a GeForce GTX 780.

Ubisoft Montreal developed its own scalable Disrupt engine just for “Watch Dogs” and promises better multiplayer action, more engaging AI elements, and more detail in the open-world environment. It also has 4K surround support, too.

NVIDIA detailed many of the graphical wonders you’ll see in the game, including the ambient occlusion, anti-aliasing, depth-of-field, level of detail, and water--which is truly amazing.

You can get the new NVIDIA drivers here, and the AMD drivers will be available here. Happy gaming.
