NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 And GTX 1650 Prices And Launch Dates Reportedly Leaked

The GeForce GTX 1660 Ti was one of the worst kept secrets in the tech industry, as specs and retail card leaks kept leaking on a continual basis. Last week, we were finally able to get a true glimpse of what this "budget" card can do and it dominates the Pascal-based GeForce GTX 1060 while offering comparable performance to the GeForce GTX 1070.

However, the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti isn't the only cut-down Turing-based card coming from NVIDIA. Word on the street is that it will be joined by the lower-spec’d GeForce GTX 1660 and GeForce GTX 1650. A new report from DigiTimes claims that is has confirmed not only the pricing of the news new gaming cards, but also their launch date.

As previously reported, the GeForce GTX 1660 will be priced at $229, compared to $279 for the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. Likewise, the GeForce GTX 1650 will have a price tag of just $179. The former is said to officially debut on March 15th, while the latter will make an appearance on April 30th.

NVIDIA has truly stepped up its attack on the entry-level and mid-range GPU markets, starting with the launch of the real-time ray tracing-enabled GeForce RTX 2060at CES 2019 in Las Vegas. With four new cards launching within a four-month period, NVIDIA is putting tremendous pressure on AMD's Radeon family of graphics cards.

As we reported yesterday, AMD is already rumored to cut prices on the Radeon RX 590 and RX 580 Polaris-based graphics card, which debuted at $279 and $229 respectively. If the new rumors are accurate, the MSRP for those cards could fall to $229 and $199 respectively in the coming weeks in response to the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti.
