Overwatch Free Weekend Lets You 'Hanzo Main' All You Want Starting September 22nd

Overwatch has become one of the most popular competitive games out there for gamers on all platforms. The game is huge in the esports arena, and tournaments will soon be held in the fancy new Blizzard Arena Los Angeles. If you haven't dropped the loot needed to buy the game because you aren't sure if Overwatch is for you, Blizzard has an upcoming free play weekend to whet your appetite.

Starting on September 22nd and running through the 25th Blizzard will have a free weekend where you won't have to spend any money to get the game or play. You will, however, need a free Battle.net account on PC, PlayStation Plus on the PS4, or Xbox Live Gold on the Xbox One platform to play. If you find that you are dominating while maining Hanzo and want to buy the game, your progress from the free weekend will carry over. That is assuming you played the free weekend using the same account you purchase the game with.

The full roster of 25 heroes and 16 maps will be available during the free weekend and multiple game modes will be offered including Quick Play, Custom Games, and Arcade. Levelups, loot boxes, and different customization options will all be available as well.

Blizzard wants to make playing for free easy and gives you steps for all three platforms to enjoy the free weekend. Obviously you have to wait until next Friday to start the download when the free client is available.
