Preliminary Intel Pricing for Conroe
Somehow, the gang over at HKEPC still manage to get their hands on sensitive information and today have posted some preliminary pricing from Intel for their upcoming products including Conroe. Looking at the first slide they have posted from an Intel presentation, we see the "Extreme Edition" of Conroe coming in at a wallet-crushing $999. However, we do see prices drop considerably for the remainder of the processor family as we find models as low as $183. If you're in the market for a new CPU, you'd best start saving those pennies.
