Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer Features John Marston And It Looks Awesome

Red Dead Redemption 2 has nearly passed into lore and has been accused of being vaporware by more than a few gamers over the years. The game was originally talked up with the first trailer back in October of 2016 with the promise of a 2017 launch.

That 2017 launch never happened, but we did get the second trailer for the game in September of 2017. Rockstar also issued an apology in 2017 for delaying the game again, saying at the time, "We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer."

Rockstar then said 2018 was the year for the launch. Fast forward to today and Rockstar has launched the third trailer for the game and it still looks good. Graphics are top notch and the trailer gives up some of the details of the story you will face in the game. It also looks like Red Dead Redemption 2 will make great use of hand-to-hand combat along with shooting you expect in the game.
The commentary provided with the latest trailer describes, "After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him."

Rockstar has also given us a firm launch date, but it's hard to feel secure considering that the game has been postponed twice now. The official launch date on trailer 3 is October 26, 2018. The game will land on PS4 and Xbox One with PC gamers being out of luck. Pre-orders are underway now.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is set in 1899 at the end of the wild west era as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs (which don't want to give up, obviously).
