Rockstar Games Launcher Lands On PC With Free GTA San Andreas

It seems as though game launchers are becoming even more prevalent these days, and Rockstar Games is the latest developer to jump on the bandwagon. Witness the Rockstar Games Launcher, which is available right now for the Windows platform.

The Rockstar Games Launcher serves as a repository for some of the studio's most popular games including the dominant Grand Theft Auto V. Other available titles include Max Payne 3: Complete Edition, LA Noire: Complete Edition and GTA Vice City (among others). You can directly purchase games using the launcher, and it will also add games that you have already installed on your machine. This includes games purchased on Steam, allowing you to access all of your titles from a single interface.

In addition to its attempt to making game curation a bit easier, the Rockstar Games Launcher will keep all of your games updated automatically and includes cloud save functionality.

Many see Rockstar's commitment to developing a launcher for the Windows PC platform as a sign that it may port the wildly popular Red Dead Redemption II over. It's a definite possibility, but we're not going to get our hopes up at this point.

While installing yet another piece of software on your gaming rig that you don't exactly want might not be that enticing to many, Rockstar is hoping to sweeten the deal with a nice freebie. For a limited time, you'll get a free copy of the classic GTA San Andreas if you install the Rockstar Games Launcher.
