Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Pits Heroine Rebel Hell Bent On Stealing Plans For The Death Star
Here we go again folks, there's another Star Wars movie on the horizon and you better buckle up because it looks to be another action packed ride. Disney dropped its second official trailer for
The new trailer is jam packed with eye candy, some of it obvious and others more subtle. Darth Vader makes an appearance, as does Forest Whitaker playing the part of Saw Gerrera, a character who we last met in Star Wars: Clone Wars. He warns protagonist Jyn Erso (played by Felicity Jones) in his trademark distinct voice that "The world is coming undone. Imperial flags reign across the galaxy"
There are a lot of elements at play in Rogue One, along with several interesting characters. Jyn Erso, the female lead that ties them all together the way Rey (played by Daisy Ridley) did in The Force Awakens, appears more than up to the task in the few bits we see her, but there looks to be plenty of kudos to go around. One of them is headed to Chirrut Îmwe, a badass Jedi played by Donnie Yen who declares, "I fear nothing. All is as the Force wills it," as he proceeds to take down a crowd of Storm Troopers with a stick. It's reminiscent of Morgan Jones (Lennie James) beating up both living and undead humans in The Walking Dead.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will hit theaters December 16, 2016.
