Samsung Offers Up To $600 To Trade In Your Pixel 3, iPhone X, Galaxy S10 For A Galaxy Note 10

Samsung Galaxy Note
A new family of Galaxy Note devices is headed to retail next month, and while Samsung has not yet officially announced its Galaxy Note 10 lineup, it is already accepting reservations. Incidentally, the reservation page also tips an upcoming promotion—if you trade in your existing smartphone, you can save up to $600 on a Galaxy Note 10.

Samsung will also gift a $50 instant credit towards "eligible devices and accessories" when reserving a next-generation Galaxy Note 10 handset. That is on top of the trade-in credit. There is no upfront monetary cost to securing a reservation, you just have to enter in your full name, ZIP code, email address, and either the your carrier of choice—AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, or Verizon—or if you prefer an unlocked model.

"From 7/25/19 until 8/7/19 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time (ET) (the 'Reservation Period'), you may reserve the right to place an order of a select flagship Galaxy device on Samsung.com or through the Shop Samsung App beginning July 25, 2019 at 12:01 am ET to August 7, 2019 at 11:59 pm ET. Not all Galaxy device versions are eligible for this offer. Please note that simply reserving your device during the Reservation Period will not automatically place an order," Samsung explains.

There is much more to the fine print, though the only other notable bit is that users who reserve a Galaxy Note 10 will have 72 hours to complete an actual order, once the new lineup is made available for purchase.

As for the trade-in credit, the amount varies by phone. Here are the models that are eligible for the full $600 credit...
  • Samsung: Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy Note 9
  • Apple: iPhone XS Max, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone X
  • Google: Pixel 3XL, Pixel 3
That is a total of 10 handsets from Apple, Google, and Samsung. There are other phones that will fetch a credit as well, from $200 to $350, depending on the model.

In any event, it looks as though Samsung will be aggressively pushing its Galaxy Note 10 line on consumers. A recently leaked ad from Verizon tipped another promotion, one in which the wireless carrier will gift a free Galaxy Note 10 with the purchase of a Galaxy Note 10+ 5G handset, when placing a preorder.

Samsung is expected to unveil its Galaxy Note 10 lineup on August 7.
