Samsung's Overachieving Galaxy Note 8 Flagship Arrives In Stores Today

If you were disappointed by the fiery disaster that was the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung by all accounts had made up for it with the Galaxy Note 8. First announced in New York City late last month, Samsung's latest flagship smartphone is now available to purchase in stores (and customers should now be receiving their shipments if they preordered).

For those that didn't preorder the Galaxy Note 8, you should be able to walk into a Best Buy, Walmart or Target store to get your mitts on one today. You can also drop by the leading U.S. wireless carriers to try out the phone, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint and U.S. Cellular.

As you probably already know, the Galaxy Note 8 features a 6.3-inch Infinity Display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, dual 12MP rear cameras with optical image stabilization and the always handy S Pen for writing on the display. And as you would expect from a modern Galaxy smartphone, it features IP68 water and dust resistance, microSD expansion support, and support for the Qi wireless charging standard.

If you want to purchase a Galaxy Note 8 with no strings attached, you can order an unlocked phone straight from Samsung.com for $929. However, if you don't have over $900 laying around to blow all at once on a smartphone, you can take advantage of carrier financing. For example, you get the smartphone for $210 down and $30 per month at T-Mobile (Equipment Installment Plan) or $0 down and $39 per month (Jump On Demand). AT&T offers the Galaxy Note 8 for $949.99, split into 30 monthly payments on AT&T Next, and both Verizon and Sprint will happily allow you to finance the device at $960.
