Samsung Galaxy S III 16GB Hits Sprint Store Today
As of this morning, Sprint customers can stop by a local store to see what all the fuss is about. A little more than a week after the Samsung Galaxy S III's planned June 21st launch date, the 16GB flavor is for sale in stores. Both the 16GB and 32GB models are ready to go on Sprint's online shop today, and have been shipping to those who pre-ordered.
Sprint isn't the only carrier dealing with tight supply. AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon are facing similar issues, thanks to Samsung's production delays. Even so, Samsung has said that it expects shipments (to carriers) of the Galaxy S III, which has been for sale in Europe since May, to reach 10 million by the end of the month. That number would likely make the Galaxy S III Samsung's best-selling smart phone. If you haven't checked out our review of the device, you owe yourself a little slice of downtime bandwidth.
As expected, your color options are Pebble Blue or Marble White for either model. (The Pebble Blue casing is one of the parts that played a role in the smartphone's supply problems.) A two-year contract knocks the price of the 16GB S III to $199.99; the 32GB model sets you back $50 more.
