Samsung's Galaxy S10 Lite Shows Its Face In This Speculative Render

Smartphone case makers are upping their game. Over on Twitter, there's a legitimate looking press render of what Samsung's unreleased Galaxy S10 Lite might look like, based on the case's dimensions. It's not clear what company built the case and conceived the render, but it's certainly a job well done, and potentially accurate.

It was none other than Twitter user Ice Universe, a prominent leaker who is evidently plugged into the smartphone scene, who posted the image.

"This is a conceptual design of the Galaxy S10 Lite from the phone case manufacturer," Ice Universe states.

He doesn't mention the name of the case maker in his Twitter post, and scrolling through the responses doesn't yield any clues, either. However, several people did note that the render looks similar to an iPhone XS.

That's probably inevitable, and a bit of a lazy comparison, given the premium design language of both the iPhone XS and leaked images of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S10 series. There are some key differences, like the punch-hole in the corner for the camera instead of a notch. It's also rumored that the Galaxy S10 will have three rear cameras, whereas the iPhone XS has dual camera sensors.

While on the topic of rumors, Ice Universe previously indicated there will be three Galaxy S10 models, each with a different display size. They include...
  • Galaxy S10+: 6.4-inch Super AMOLED, 2K+ resolution (19:9)
  • Galaxy S10: 6.1-inch Super AMOLED, 2K+ resolution (19:9)
  • Galaxy S10 Lite: 5.8-inch Super AMOLED, 2K+ resolution (18.5:9)
It's also expected that the Galaxy S10 lineup will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 processor for the models that ship in the US and China, and Samsung's own Exynos 9820 processor for models that ship in other parts of the world.

We'll find out soon enough, as we expect Samsung to unveil its Galaxy S10 lineup at or around Mobile World Congress in a couple of months.
