Samsung Galaxy S11 Leak Alleges Three Displays Up To 6.9 Inches, 5G Connectivity

Samsung Galaxy S10
Short of having official confirmation on a next-generation Samsung phone directly from the South Korean handset maker, the next best thing is leaked information by Evan Blass, who goes by @evleaks on Twitter. The guy has been super reliable in revealing accurate specs and renders of unreleased handsets. We bring this up because his latest bit of leaked information reveals some interesting details about the Galaxy S11.

Samsung has not gotten around to announcing the Galaxy S11 yet, and if it sticks with its past release schedule, the flagship handset will get an unveiling sometime in February 2020. So, we have to wait around three more months before we know for sure what the Galaxy S11 will bring to the table and how much the different models will cost.

In the meantime, Blass has shared some "preliminary details" about the Galaxy S11 on Twitter. According to his post, the Galaxy S11 will be available with three different screen sizes, those being 6.9 inches, 6.7 inches, and either 6.4 inches or 6.2 inches (Blass clarified in a followup tweet that he's received "conflicting information" on the smallest model).

There will be five variants in all, according to Blass, who says the smaller two will be available in both 5G and 4G LTE models, while the largest of the bunch will be 5G only. So, here's what we are looking at, if his information is correct...
  • 6.9-inch Samsung Galaxy S11 5G
  • 6.7-inch Samsung Galaxy S11 5G
  • 6.7-inch Samsung Galaxy S11 LTE
  • 6.4-inch or 6.2-inch Samsung Galaxy S11 5G
  • 6.4-inch or 6.2-inch Samsung Galaxy S11 LTE
All of these models are said to feature curved-edge displays. This would mark a departure from the flat screen design of the Galaxy S10 series. Several people responded to Blass' Twitter post to voice disappointment with that decision, so it will be interesting to see how the Galaxy S11 series is received by the masses.

Blass did not provide any other details about the Galaxy S11. That said, another leaker (Ice universe) previously stated there is a "high probability" Samsung uses its new 108-megapixel camera sensor on the upcoming flagship phone. So far, the 108MP sensor has only been found on Xiaomi's recently launched CC9 Pro in China and Mi Note 10 (which is the global version of the CC9 Pro).

While on the topic of leaks, we have one more to report on. Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24 on Twitter) shared supposed Galaxy S11 color options with MySmartPrice. If his information is accurate, the Galaxy S11 will be offered in black, gray, and blue color options. In addition, Agarwal says the Galaxy S11e variant will come in blue, gray, and pink colors.

These would likely be launch colors, with more to follow as time goes on. Like everything else, though, we will have to a wait a few months to know for sure.
