It goes without saying, but the 5.8-inch Galaxy S9 is on the left, while the Galaxy S9+ is on the right. You can see that these smartphones break no new ground stylistically, which is to be expected following the release of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ last year. Like before, the smartphones are dominated by Super AMOLED Infinity Displays and have a bevy of sensors located in the top bezel.

On the inside, one of two processors will be available depending on where you live. For U.S. and Chinese customers, both smartphones will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. For all other markets around the globe, Samsung's own Exynos 9810 processor will be used.

There will also be differences -- other than display size -- between the two smartphones. The Galaxy S9 is said to come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the Galaxy S9+ will be beefed up with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Samsung Unpacked

As previewed by the invites that were sent out yesterday, Samsung is placing a big emphasis on the camera(s) in this year's flagship. The primary [rear] 12MP camera is said to include a variable aperture that can mechanically adjust between f/1.5 to f/2.4. Further relegating the Galaxy S9 to the bottom of the totem pole, the larger Galaxy S9+ will feature a second 12MP camera with a fixed aperture (as has been previously rumored).

Other features on tap for the flagships include an 8MP camera up front for taking selfies and stereo speakers at the bottom of the device. Both smartphones are also expected to retain a 3.5mm audio jack and the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

According to the date listed on the displays above, it appears that the both smartphones will ship on March 15th.
