Snapdragon 845 Leak Highlights 2018 Android Flagship Phone Dream Team

A leak, which was sourced from Weibo, sheds light on a number of new smartphones that will arrive in 2018 featuring the Snapdragon 845. Given how many Android OEMs flocked to the Snapdragon 835, there aren't many surprises on this leaked list.

The month of February (Mobile World Congress) will see the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, which confirms previous rumors. Also set for a February reveal are the LG G7 and G7 Plus -- this is especially interesting given that the LG G6 missed out on the Snapdragon 835 last year, as Samsung was thought to have secured the bulk of early chip production, effectively freezing LG out of contention.

The Xiaomi Mi 7 is allegedly arriving in April, while the HTC U12 will make its grand entrance in May. Other items of note include the OnePlus 6, ZTE Nubia Z18 and Sony Xperia XZ Pro-A, which could all arrive in June. The list goes on with the heavy-hitting Galaxy Note 9 arriving in September along with the Xiaomi Mi Mix3 and LG V40. The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are expected to launch in October 2018.

Samsung Galaxy S9/Galaxy S9+ Renders

Again, nothing on this list is exactly shocking, although we should still take its contents with a grain of salt at this point. Just think of it as a highly reasonable cheat sheet to next year's most powerful flagship Android smartphones.

Of all of the smartphones on the list, we know the most about the Galaxy S9/Galaxy S9+ due to recent leaks. We've already seen the Snapdragon 845-powered version of the smartphone hit Geekbench, and renders of the smartphones have also leaked. Both phones will retain their Infinity Displays, 3.5mm headphone jack, and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, but the larger Galaxy S9+ is said to receive a dual-camera setup out back along with 6GB of RAM and up to 512MB of onboard storage.
