Sony To Release Limited Edition Uncharted 4 PS4 Bundle in Late April

Sony doesn't appear to be having any trouble selling PlayStation 4 consoles—as of a month ago, Sony had sold just shy of 36 million units—but it may see a flurry of sales from eager Uncharted 4: A Thief's End fans by offering a limited edition themed version to commemorate the game's release on April 26, 2016.

Central to the bundle is a gray and blue 500GB capacity PS4 console featuring a silk-screen image of Nathan Drake on one of its sides. It also comes with a matching DualShock 4 controller and a physical (not digital) copy of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End on Blu-ray. For added bling, the console sports the PlayStation logo, Uncharted logo, and the phrase "SIC PARVIS MAGNA" all in gold. It's the same phrase that's engraved in Nathan Drake's ring.

As far as themed consoles go, this is one of the nicer looking ones (in this editor's opinion), it's just too bad that console makers often insist on bundling just a single controller, as is the case here. However, you can the themed DualShock 4 controller separately—it will be available in early March (ahead of the release bundle) for $65 MSRP.

The themed console bundle will sell for $400 MSRP, with pre-orders kicking off later today. As an added bonus, Sony is also including vouchers for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Outfit, Golden Weapon Skin, and Uncharted Points to use in mulitplayer mode to those who pre-order.

That's not the end of it. If your wallet's still weighing you down, Sony will also offer a themed gray and blue version of its gold wireless headset. It too features the PlayStation logo and aforementioned engraving in gold, plus a custom Uncharted 4 audio mode (via the Headset Companion App). This one will go on sale in early March for $100 MSRP.
