The Intel Core i9-9900KS Unboxed And Ready To Rock

core i9 9900ks box

Intel’s Core i9-9900KS is due to hit store shelves soon. Our full review should be live in a just a couple of days, but in the meantime Intel is letting us show the processor and its wild packaging. Like the Core i9-9900K, the upcoming Core i9-9900KS ships in a translucent, midnight-blue dodecahedron, with a stylized cardboard band wrapped around the enclosure to keep things neatly strapped in. Check it out...

The Core i9-9900KS is similar to the existing 9900K in terms of its core count, cache configuration, socket, and packaging – they are based on the same silicon after all and the 9900KS will work on the same motherboards. With the Core i9-9900KS, however, Intel is selectively binning the chips and have tweaked its frequency and voltage curves to increase the base clock to 4GHz and the max boost across all eight of its cores to a full 5GHz.

We will be putting the chip through its paces and will have our review live as soon as possible. In the meantime, we hope you have a little fun checking out the quick unboxing we put together. And if you did, don’t forget to like and subscribe to our YouTube channel and tick the reminder bell so you’ll alerted whenever we go live or post new video content.
