Verizon Wireless Offers Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 With LTE For $500 Off-Contract

Samsung's Galaxy Tab line isn't quite what it used to be, and you can thank Apple for that. While the overall look and feel remains the same, Samsung has added a few stylistic design tweaks that are neither here nor there, but we suppose they're necessary to keep the lawyers at bay. At any rate, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is now available at your local Verizon Wireless store, complete with a 3G / 4G LTE radio. Those who opt for this version will be able to surf at home on Wi-Fi, or on the go by tapping into VZW's expansive network. Unlike prior carrier tablet sales, VZW's opting to sell this one at full retail, eschewing the contractual route. It'll cost you $499.99 with no agreement, and you'll be allowed to pick up month-to-month service for $30 (4GB), or right up to $60 for 10GB/month.

As for specs, you're looking at Android 4.0, 8GB of flash storage, a 10.1" display, and a microSD card slot. It should be ready to ship shortly after Thanksgiving.
