Quick overview of the GTX 570
After the GTX 580, the next card in NVIDIA's line up is the GTX 570. Although it costs significantly less than its big brother, the 570 offers a lot of performance. We've seen GTX 570 online from as low as $329, all the way up to $369 with factory overclocks at 800 MHz.

How does the DirectCU GTX 570 differ from the stock model?
Like the DCII GTX 580, Asus changed up the core clock speed, output ports, PCB, and cooling of the GTX 570. This card operates at 742 MHz vs 732 MHz stock, while offering two DVI, one DisplayPort, and one HDMI port. Again, the reference design provides only two DVI and one mini-HDMI port.

Once again, the power configuration has been tweaked. Where the stock 570 requires two 6-pin power connections, the DCII model needs an 8-pin and a 6-pin in order to operate. Also, this card sports a back plate for additional cooling.

Installation

Since this card is physically similar to the DCII GTX 580, it takes up the same amount of room on the motherboard. The image above shows how the card matches the length of the Rampage III, with the heat sink shroud extending past about half an inch. And as with the 580, there is enough room for another triple slot card.
