ATTO Tests and Conclusion
ATTO is another "quick and dirty" type of disk benchmark that measures transfer speeds across a specific volume length. It measures raw transfer rates for both reads and writes and graphs them out in an easily interpreted chart. We chose .5kb through 8192kb transfer sizes and a queue depth of 6 over a total max volume length of 256MB. ATTO's workloads are sequential in nature and measure raw bandwidth, rather than I/O response time, access latency, etc.

Consistent with prior tests, the EMTEC Speedin' X600 scored on the low-end of the scale here. It did outpace the Corsair USB drive, but trailed the higher-end, more expensive Samsung T3 USB drive and didn't come close to the SATA drives, obviously.
Conclusion
Take the EMTEC Speedin' X600 drive for what it is: convenient mass storage for mobile users, that lightweight and more durable than a basic thumb drive, and hopefully harder to lose. The lack of any metal or heavier materials in the casing makes it more pocket-friendly, but the short included USB cable means the EMTEC Speedin' X600 is not idea for most towers or other desktop systems. It provides decent mass storage in a compact device for a fair price, but is not ideal in a performance-sensitive scenario. If maximum performance is your main concern, you'll want to look to something a little higher-end, like the Samsung T3.
