Huawei MateBook 13 Review: A High Performance Ultrabook With Caveats

Huawei MateBook 13: General Productivity Test

UL's (formerly Futuremark) collection of benchmarks have been the go-to system tests since the late ‘90s. We ran Huawei's MateBook 13 through PCMark 10, which is designed to gauge a system's performance in everyday use scenarios with GPU acceleration-enabled.

What we like about PCMark 10 is that it tests a system's all-around performance with actual applications. The MateBook 13 again proves to be the most all-around capable 13"-class ultrabook we have tested to date.

However, the overall score is not the whole story. While the MateBook 13's Productivity and Digital Content Creation scores are high, its Essentials score is not quite as convincing. If your workload consists primarily of spreadsheets, email, documents, and photo editing, then the XPS 13 or Zbook X2 may be more your speed.
