Quake III
Classic OpenGL

The Xabre nearly achieves parity with the RADEON 9000 Pro in Quake III - not bad considering ATI's mainstream competitor sports a programmable hardware vertex and pixel shading engine.  The Vertexilizer engine seems to be functioning very well.  These score are even high at the "Normal" quality setting.  For instance, the Xabre 600 is even able to beat the GeForce4 MX 440 at 1600x1200!

The Xabre 600 isn't able to perform anisotropic filtering, but is does support anti-aliasing.  SiS' lastest driver offers 2x, 3x and 4x "oversampling."  At 1280x1024 2x anti-aliasing, the Xabre incurs a  noticeable performance penalty; likewise for 4x.  However, the RADEON 9000 Pro won't even run with its "Quality" setting enabled at that resolution, so SiS has done a fair job at making sure the feature works as advertised.
