Android 10 was released on September 3rd and has slowly been released to a handful of devices. Now OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 users can download Android 10 too. OnePlus just released their OxygenOS 10.0 based on Android 10 and it comes with all the latest feature updates on under the hood.

OnePlus’ OxygenOS 10.0 features a new UI design and more control over location permissions, a greater variety of customization options, and refreshed gaming experience. Users will be able to customize the clock style, fingerprint animation, and wallpaper on their lock screen and choose from three preset display themes. You will also be able to learn information about your music, calendar, or local weather without needing to unlock your screen. Users can customize their notifications as well. Users can choose to receive a notification from a specific app with or without sounds and vibrations. This allows users to decide which notifications are the most important and urgent.

One of Android 10’s biggest bragging points is their new gesture system. This system will also be available on OxygenOS 10.0. Users will be able to swipe from left to right to go between apps or pages.

Android 10 reportedly gives users greater control over their privacy. Users have the option to “always allow”, “allow only while using the app, “forbid”, or “don't ask again once prohibited” location permissions. Oxygen OS 10.0 has taken privacy one step further and also created a “Privacy” page under a user’s settings. Users will be able to see which apps have access to information like contacts and messages.

OnePlus has used Android 10 to create their “Game Space” feature. A user’s games can now be found on the same page. You will be able to access modes like “Fnatic Mode” and “Graphic Optimization” and see how much time you have spent playing the game.

OxygenOS 10.0 is available for the OnePlus 7 Pro (our full review) and OnePlus 7. The manufacturer released a beta a few weeks ago, but the official rollout will be staged and randomly pushed out over the next few weeks. OnePlus warns that users should not use a VPN to download the update, since the update is not based on region.

Google officially launched Android 10 on Pixel devices earlier this month. Besides the new gesture controls, Android 10 also includes a system-wide Dark Theme, focus modes and family links, and greater accessibility options. For example, users are now able to caption live videos and amplify the sound on their devices. Android 10 is also available for the Pixel/Pixel XL, Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3/Pixel 3 XL, or Pixel 3a/Pixel 3a XL and will likely be available on other devices soon.
