Cyber Monday: HTC One X Drops to $0.99 on AT&T

At the risk of inundating you with Cyber Monday deals that we know you're capable of digging up on your own (our readers are tech savvy, after all), here's another heads up on a bargain that seemed too good to sweep under the rug. Presumably for today only, AT&T is offering the HTC One X for just $0.99 with a qualifying data plan and two-year service agreement.

That price reflects an "Instant Savings" of $400 (with contract) plus a $99 online discount, so it's actually a penny under a buck with no gimmicks like mail-in-rebates; if you have a dollar in your pocket, you can afford the One X. But should you?

HTC One X

Other than the non-removable battery and lack of memory expansion, we really liked the One X in our hands-on evaluation. It has a 4.7-inch Ture HD IPS touchscreen (1280x720 resolution) covered in Corning Gorilla Glass, a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM 8960 "Krait" processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, 8MP rear-facing camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 802.11n Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, and microUSB port.

On the software side, the One X rolls with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, though HTC began doling out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean an Sense 4+ updates in late October. Not bad for a buck.
