Gettin' Jiggly Wit It Fortnite v6.0 Breast Animation Has Epic Games Apologizing

Fortnite
Fortnite players were treated to a bunch of new and improved features with the season six rollout yesterday, including pets in backpacks, floating islands, a haunted mansion, corn fields, and more. None of those things caused any controversy. What did, however, was a new Calamity cowgirl skin with a noticeable animation tweak.

It looks as though the developers spent a bit of time polishing Calamity's breasts physics. Fortnite streamer FaZe Agony brought this to widespread attention by posting a short video clip on Twitter. In it, you can see Calamity's upper section bouncing around as she dances in place. The tweet currently has over 1,100 comments, 5,100 shares, and 24,000 likes.
The widespread attention this received prompted Epic Games to issue an apology. "This is unintended, embarrassing, and it was careless of us to let this slip. We are working now to fix this as soon as possible," Epic Games said in a statement to multiple media outlets.

Epic Games didn't get into the specifics of how the "unintended" and "embarrassing" animation made it into the patch's release. However, the developer did later say that it had "disabled elements of our animation system" as it works on addressing the issue.
Reactions to animation and Epic Games' decision to address it have been mixed. Presumably from the developer's perspective, it was to avoid any potential controversy, particularly one rooted in sex, given that Fortnite has a large audience among kids. It was estimated in July that Fortnite had generated over $1 billion in revenue through in-game purchases. The game has been such a big financial success that Epic Games recently decided to take a smaller slice of sales from creators in the Unreal Engine Marketplace, dropping its cut from 30 percent to just 12 percent.
