Fresh Galaxy S11 Leak Proves Samsung Has Nearly Killed Display Bezels

The leaks continue to emanate from Samsung as the new year approaches. The company is expected to announce its Galaxy S11 family and Galaxy Fold 2 in mid-February, so it should come as no surprise that a flurry of component leaks are hitting the internet.

The latest leak shows us a look at the display cover the Galaxy S11, and it proves that the device has incredibly thin bezels all around -- even at the bottom. Samsung has been shrinking the bezels of its smartphones for the past few generations, but it looks as though the Galaxy S11 takes it to a new extreme. Also visible is a single punch hole cut out for the selfie camera centered, at the top of the display.

In addition to thinner bezels, the Galaxy S11 family is widely expected to come with standard 5G connectivity courtesy of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform (which includes a standalone Snapdragon X55 5G modem) and Qualcomm's next-generation 3D Sonic Max in-screen fingerprint reader.

It's also likely that there will be a new 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX primary image sensor that was developed by Samsung in conjunction with Xiaomi. It will be joined by an ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5x optical zoom lens, and a ToF sensor according to credible reports.

Other reports indicate that the Galaxy S11 family will feature 120Hz displays, which leapfrogs not only the 60Hz displays of most current smartphones, but also the 90Hz displays found in the OnePlus 7T and Google Pixel 4. The flagship Galaxy S11+ is expected to bring with it a massive 5,000 mAh battery, which will be helpful in fueling both its reported 6.9-inch 120Hz display and discrete 5G modem.

When the Galaxy S11 family is revealed in February, it will be joined on stage by the Galaxy Fold 2. That successor to 2019's Galaxy Fold leaked heavily yesterday.
